LED dimmer is an electrical device that changes the luminous flux of the light source in the lighting device and adjusts the illumination level.
Features of LED dimmer
The purpose of a dimmer is to adjust the light to different brightness levels. The light output of different intensities is produced by reducing or increasing the RMS voltage to induce an average power light. While variable voltage devices can be used for a variety of purposes, this regulation is intended to control lighting.
LED dimmers achieve different brightness levels by changing the luminous flux of the light source in the lighting device and adjusting the illumination level.
There are two types of dimmers currently popular on the market: manual knob dimmers & Bluetooth dimmers.
The four input and output terminals of the manual knob dimmer are usually side by side, and there are two input and output terminals on each end of the Bluetooth dimmer.
Whether it is a manual knob dimmer or a Bluetooth dimmer, pay attention to distinguishing the positive and negative poles when wiring. You cannot directly connect to 220v AC. You need to use an LED power supply (transformer) to convert 220v AC into 12v DC (Bluetooth dimming). The device can input 5-24v).
The Principle Of LED Dimmers
a) Pulse Width Modulation (PWM for short) digitizes the square wave of the power supply and controls the duty cycle of the square wave to achieve the purpose of controlling the current.
b) Constant current power supply regulation The current can be easily adjusted using analog linear technology.
c) Group control: Group multiple Leds and control them with a simple grouper.
How To Install & Wire LED Dimmer?
The hot and neutral wires of the air switch are connected to the L and N terminals of the LED power supply.
Match the positive and negative poles of the LED power outlet terminals one by one (the positive and negative poles of the 6 terminals on the left side of the LED rainproof power supply are 1-4, 2-5, and 3-6. One end of the LED silent power supply is L, N, and the other end The positive and negative poles of the four terminals are 1-3, 2-4), which are connected to the positive and negative poles of the input terminal of the LED dimmer.
Connect the positive and negative poles of the LED light to the positive and negative poles of the LED dimmer output, close the air switch, the LED light will light up, and the wiring is correct.
