Led Underwater Light Technical Indicators
1. Protection Indicators
The protection indicators of Led underwater lights are divided into two aspects: dustproof and waterproof.
The IEC standard stipulates that the international protection marking symbols are as follows:
a). Dustproof Grade
The national standard stipulates that the dustproof grade of lamps and lanterns is divided into 6 grades.
Among them, the 6th grade is the highest, and the dustproof grade of the underwater lantern should reach the 6th grade. The marking symbol is: IP6X.
b). Waterproof Grade
The national standard stipulates that the waterproof level of lamps is divided into 8 grades.
The 6th grade is the water splash type, the 7th grade is the watertight type, and the 8th grade is the pressurized watertight type.
The eighth level is the highest, and the waterproof level of the underwater lamp should meet the requirements of level 8, and its marking symbol is IPX8.
Combining the above two requirements, the dustproof level of the underwater light is 6, the waterproof level is 8, and the marking symbol is: IP68.
The products we produce and supply are basically IP68 products that are used directly in water.
2. Safety Indicators Against Electric Shock
The anti-electric shock indicators of the national standard for lamps are divided into four categories:
That is, class O, class I, class II, class III.
At the same time, the national standard clearly stipulates that the underwater lighting fixtures in swimming pools,
fountains, leisure pools and other similar places should be Class III lamps for protection against electric shock.
The working voltage of its external and internal circuits should not exceed 12V.
3. Rated Working Voltage
The rated working voltage of the Led underwater light is an indicator of the electrical parameters of the light.
It directly determines the use environment of the lamp, that is, the actual working voltage must be consistent with the rated working voltage.
Otherwise, either because the voltage is too high and the light source is burned out, or because the voltage is too low, the lighting effect of the light cannot be achieved.
4. The Choice of Led Underwater Light
According to the actual use requirements of the project, how to choose the water lanterns reasonably should be considered from the following aspects.
a). Safety Function
In landscape places, the choice of marine led lights takes personal safety as the first element.
The Led underwater light with 12V safe voltage must be used in accordance with the requirements of the national standard.
b). Lighting Function
The lighting function mainly refers to the luminous brightness of the light source.
It can choose different power underwater lights according to the irradiation height and light projection area.
Another element of the lighting function is the color of the underwater light.
Generally there are five kinds of red, yellow, green, blue and white, which can be selected according to the application occasion, the object to be illuminated and the atmosphere created.
c). Appearance & Shell Material
Although underwater lights are used underwater, they are not very conspicuous.
However, the appearance and material are related to the proportion of lamps and lanterns.
If the specific gravity is too small, it will generate a large buoyancy force, which will easily loosen the fixing screws of the underwater lantern, making the lamp float on the water surface and being too heavy, making the lamp stand difficult to support.
At the same time, due to long-term use in water, the shell material should have a certain anti-corrosion function, and the surface paint layer should be firm.
d). Economy
The economy of Led underwater light refers to the sum of the one-time investment and operating costs of the lamps.
Generally speaking, the better quality of the underwater led light, the higher the price of the lamp, the longer the service life and the lower the operating cost.
On the contrary, although the low quality underwater lanterns are cheap, they often lead to blindness due to water leakage and electricity leakage, which not only increases the operating costs, but also affects the acceptance of the entire project.
